Privacy Policy
How we handle the personal information you give us.
1. Who we are
SS Air Cargo is a trading name of SS Traders, a sole proprietorship based at 174/1/A, Weatheawa Road, Amandoluwa, Seeduwa, Sri Lanka. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean SS Traders. For any privacy question, write to sales@ssaircargo.com.
2. What we collect
We collect the information you choose to give us through the quote form, the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp:
- Your name, company, email address and phone number
- Details of your shipment: services required, origin and destination countries, cargo description, weight, number of pieces and preferred date
- Anything you write in a message to us
If you go on to ship with us, we also collect what is needed to carry out the shipment, such as shipper and consignee details and the documents that customs and airlines require.
Like most websites, the service that hosts this site may record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, in its server logs.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
- To arrange and carry out the services you ask for
- To prepare transport and customs documents
- To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is needed to handle your shipment or where the law requires it. This can include airlines and their ground handlers, customs and other government authorities, transport providers, and agents at the origin or destination. Because air cargo is international, some of these parties are outside Sri Lanka.
Enquiries sent through the forms on this website are delivered to us by email through our web hosting and email providers, who process them on our behalf.
5. Cookies and tracking
You do not need to accept cookies to use this website, and we do not use cookies for advertising. Some pages show an embedded Google map, and Google may set its own cookies when that map loads. If you follow a link to WhatsApp, that service may also set cookies under its own policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the website will still work.
6. Where your information is processed
We are based in Sri Lanka. Because air cargo crosses borders, the information needed to move your shipment may be sent to, and processed in, the countries your cargo travels from, through or to. The services that host this website and deliver our email may also store information outside Sri Lanka. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those in yours.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as is reasonably needed to deal with your enquiry, and shipment records for as long as legal, tax and regulatory rules require.
8. How we protect it
We limit access to personal information to the people who need it to do their work, and we take reasonable steps to keep it safe. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee security, and we ask you not to send sensitive information that we have not asked for.
9. Children
This website is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other websites
This website links to services we do not control, such as WhatsApp and map services. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
11. Your rights
We aim to handle personal information in line with Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022. You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, or withdraw a consent you have given. We will respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and the current version is always on this page.
